The Bryan County Engineering Department hereby gives notice of the County's intent to revise the flood hazard information, generally located east of Black Creek Church Rd, south of the weigh station along Interstate 16, and west of Georgia Central Rail Line. Specifically, the flood hazard information shall be revised along Black Creek, Black Creek Tributary No. 3 and Contributing Branches No. 1, 2, 3, and several unnamed ponding areas from a point approximately 5,200 ft downstream of US Highway 280 to a point approximately 14,500 ft downstream of US Highway 280. As a result of the revision, the 1% annual chance water-surface elevations shall increase, decrease, or be established, and the 1% annual chance floodplain shall widen, narrow, or be established within the area of revision.
