Notice of Public Review and Comment Period For a Substantial Amendment to the City's 2019-2023 Consolidated Plan City of Hinesville The City of Hinesville has prepared and made available for public review and comment a draft Substantial Amendment to the City's 2019-2023 Consolidated Plan. The amendment proposes reprogramming $162,501 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds previously allocated for affordable housing activities to support improvements at Irene B. Thomas Park. The City is seeking public input on the Substantial Amendment to the City's 2019-2023 Consolidated Plan, which will be available for a 30-day public review and comment period from August 24, 2026, through September 24, 2026. Citizens may review and submit comments on this document in the Community Development Department, 2nd floor of City Hall (115 East M.L. King Jr. Drive, Hinesville, Georgia 31313), Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, except holidays. The plan may also be viewed online at www.cityofhinesville.org on the Community Development Department page. To provide residents with two opportunities to offer feedback on the proposed Substantial Amendment to the 2019-2023 Consolidated Plan: 1. The Community Development Department will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, located at 115 East Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Hinesville, Georgia 31313. 2.
